Brown Cuckoo-dove

a.k.a. Pheasant Pigeon, Brown Pigeon

Macropygia phasianella

A Brown Cuckoo-dove (I think)
Ed. note: Problem is, it looks like one, and the label said it was, but I can't account for those wing bars.

This Australian species prefers rainforest and woodlands. It will nest in trees, as high as 30' in the air. A single egg is laid.

Their call is a loud "whoop-a whoop."
