ALBC Turkey Census 2006

2006 Heritage Turkey Census

Dear Friends,

We need your help.

The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy continues to follow the breeding population trends of heritage turkeys. Conversations with hatcheries and the large producers show good growth over the past several years. ALBC would like to get a more comprehensive understanding of who is breeding turkeys, and the breeder bird numbers of each variety.

If you breed or raise turkeys, I hope you'll take a moment to complete the 2006 Heritage Turkey Census. This survey will allow ALBC to learn which populations are thriving, and which are in need of additional attention. Confidential information that you provide in the survey will be protected. The final report will identify and provide contact information for those who breed and sell stock.

Conservation success depends on people like you, and I am personally honored to work with you. Thank you for participating in this year's turkey census.

Click on this link to go to the survey: http://www.albc-usa.org/turkeycensus.html (or copy and paste into your browser). Click on the version you prefer: Word or PDF.

Please complete and return it to me by June 15, 2006
