The Yellow Duck was developed from the Blue Swedish Duck. It was thought to be extinct for a long time, but then a small group of them was found in the south of Sweden.

Although not as meaty a bird as the Blue, it is a much better layer. It is always yellow and weighs 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 pounds (3 to 3 1/2 kilos).
